MADI Apparel

MADI Apparel is a company founded on a belief that sustainable and ethical clothing, especially intimates, should be accessible to everyone. We work hard to create lasting pieces that make a difference in our customers, our communities, and our country’s lives.

As part of this mission, we are working to tell our brand story in a better way. When you shop at MADI or take part in one of our many local experiences, we want you to feel something: emotions, euphoria, empathy—whatever it is that makes sense for you.

We want you to know that your dollars and support make an impact, not only to our small business in Kansas City but to our larger community as well. Our team knows that we are responsible and accountable for every last fiber, interaction, and thing we leave behind, and we want you to know that too.

So from today forward, our community outreach and in-store experience will be focused on just that—telling our story to encourage you to slow down and consider every detail of our process.

Because that’s what really makes a difference.

MADI Apparel values

“What makes us special is how detailed we are in our pursuit of sustainability,” MADI Founder Hayley Besheer said.

“We will be changing our store displays and website to be wholly focused on educating our customers on what their purchases do for their community, like how much the labor costs for that garment, who made it, what is the eco fabric made from, the sustainability impact and how was it dyed. I want customers to truly understand and appreciate what it means to mindfully shop from a sustainable brand like MADI.”

When you visit our store (hopefully soon!) or join us for an event, we hope you get to learn more about who we are and why we do what we do.

The things you love should last.

They shouldn't negatively impact the planet.

They should provide a living wage to the hands that made them.

And they should always uplift those who need help.

Our ethical basics are made by us in Kansas City from sustainable, bio-based, long-lasting materials—without compromise—and we can’t wait for you to learn more as we continue to prioritize sharing our mission and vision with you.

Be on the lookout for changes in-store and online that will help you learn more about what it means to be MADI Apparel.
